SD Cards:

Why I love this gift idea.

SD cards are a necessity for any photographer.  Every photographer has one, so you may wonder why would they need another?  SD cards fail!  Yup, I’ve had it happen more than once.  It is always a good idea to have a spare (or two) around.  Also, a good photo organizing tip is to start a new SD card on January 1st every year.  This keeps the wear and tear of the SD card down hopefully allowing them to last longer and fail less.

This makes SD cards the perfect stocking stuffer or gift for the photographer ‘who has everything’.

The PowerSort Photo Organizing Box

This is THE BEST box to organize your photos.  There are many boxes you can find on the market to organize your photos, but I love this one because it has several features that most do not have.  Plus they look nice on my bookshelf

It is made of photo safe plastic that will keep moisture away from your precious photos. It protects much better than archival boxes made from paper/cardboard even protecting from spills and floods.  It has SIX divided compartments and 6 dividers.  This allows you to partially fill the box without all your photos sliding about.  When you are sorting you can organize right away into categories.  Write on each white divider tab with a pencil to keep your sections labelled.

The loops on the lid keeps the lid on nice and secure.  This makes these boxes nice and portable.  You won’t lose the contents of your box if you accidentally drop or tip one over.

They fit photos up to 5×7 size (which not all photo boxes do) and holds 1,200 4×6 or 5×7 photos.  Plus the inside cover holds photos and memorabilia up to 12.75″ x 7″.  The overall size of the box is 13″x7.75″x5.75.

They are made of polypropylene and stand the test of time.  I own many of these boxes, some I’ve had for 20 years and they are still in near perfect condition.

Photo Labelling Pencil

This pencil is a must if you are organizing your physical photos.  Use it to write notes on the backs of your photos as you are organizing.  The Photo Labelling Pencil contains soft, non-toxic graphite, so it will not leave a mark.  It can be easily wiped off the front of your photo if you need to make corrections with the Photo Polishing Cloth below.
